Chapter 41 - Oh Happy Day

"It's Going to be Good"

So, mum's dead.  It's really strange but it's like she is still here.  Like dad.  I mean I see them every so often, and they talk to me and stuff.  But it's like I can see right through them, like I am dreaming.  Or perhaps they are; dreaming somewhere.

Anyway, I changed up the house.  Mum said that we had to make a million and we had loads of stuff we could sell that we didn't use and a smaller house means smaller bills.  I think.  Anyway, that's what I did and why.

And then I asked Alexandra to get married and move in.  Well, I already asked if she wanted to get married.  She said yes.  But I meant like get married, get married.  Cake and stuff.

I decorated the whole house with flowers and I got an arch.  You need to have an arch, Aunt Summer told me that.  And if that's what I need, that is what I got.  I wanted the day to be super special.

I also got someone to make drinks and someone to play mum's old piano.  Aunt Summer did the invitations and loads of people showed up.  Some even brought gifts!

We got married in the garden.  It took people ages to get themselves sorted.  We just stood there and chatted while they found their seats.

I just wanted to get on with it.

I think she looked beautiful.

We didn't use a minister or anything, so I just said the first thing that came into my head.  That she was special and beautiful and that I would have married her even without the arch there.

Then I got to kiss her.  But everyone was watching so I got a bit embarrassed.  And I think someone threw a lemon.  I don't know why but there are lots of customs that I don't know much about.

"Can I keep you?"

She even gave me a ring, like I had given her one when we were at school.

It's really shiny.

Chapter 40 - A New Beginning

GENERATION 2

"BOOO"
Yeah, so, I am dead.  It's not so bad I suppose.  The floating through doors is pretty cool and I can do some kickass things with inanimate objects, but the 'existing as your emotion' thing, not cool.  Not cool at all.

Carson put my gravestone in the garden next to Pawl's, as is our Millionaire Legacy custom.  I pop up every -so-often, just to check on him and he has made some changes, I can tell you.

Firstly, there was no stopping Easter.  She and Troy moved out several days after her party.  They moved in next to Tobias and Lillian.  I do wish them well.

Christmas and Summer still live with Carson.  I don't know how long that will last to be honest.  Although Summer is getting on in years, it is maybe best shes stays where she is.  As for Christmas, I don't know.  She's been such a quiet kid, just does her homework and plays chess, it's difficult to know where her life will take her.

The biggest change Carson made is the change to the house.  He packed up all the important things, Tobias' paintings, my piano and a few other nic-nacks and buldozed the lot!

I am not sure whether I approve or not.  It is his story now and I am glad he saved the important things but it is hard to see where I lived raised to the ground.  However, he has done a great job with the new place and hopefully this is a sign that he is stepping up to the challenge of making a million.

Now there is only one thing he has left to do.  I wonder if he can get it right...

"Scub-a-dub-dub. I'm in the tub!"

Chapter 39 - Easter's Party *Part 2*

"Playing 'Name That Smell'"

The party seemed to go on for ages, it was as if time stood still on some party meter in the sky and left us to enjoy the celebrations.

Easter spent most of her time trying out her newly aquired social interactions, and mostly on 'you know who'!

"Massage is so Gansta!  After this you should try our Gangsta Wrap!"
"Mwuhuh!"
This party didn't end as well as it could have, I have to admit.  I was kind of hoping for a more happy and glorious closure to the festivities.  More fireworks and balloons. I mean, we had put a lot of effort into it, and to be honest this hadn't even been on the short list of Finales.

But life is what it is and we have to play the cards we are dealt.  At least we got past the cake and the aging up and we should be getting one heck of party reward from the Ministry of Epic Parties and Get Togethers!  Well, I say 'we' I guess that term no longer applies.

"I think....I think.... I broke....a...nail.....Errrgle"
I'll admit to feeling a little sadness but not a huge amount.  It has been good fun, although I perhaps had imagined more sadness.  Particularly from the Holiday family, their reactions were very odd.

Christmas was the only Holiday that seemed concerned at the dire end to the party and as for Carson, poor Carson.  I hope he will be ok, he went to pieces after his Dad died.  He's never been that good at dealing with Death.

Well, to be honest no one is, not really.  The guy can be a real jerk!

"No.  No.  No need for applause, all in a days work."

"You're right.  It is stressful.  And no one really, y'know, 'Get's It'"

Chapter 38 - Easter's Party *Part 1*

"Booyeah!  There's gonna be cake!"
Easter became an adult.  Finally she made it to an age that matches her personality.  She has been desperate for this.  We decided to throw a huge party for her.  We invited everyone!  And even got a few people that we don't even know!

That's right.  We are offcially Party Crasher Cool!

Summer went all out with the food.  Lobster Thermidor and the most elegant cake I have ever seen.  When Easter aged up we were surprised to find she looks very much like her father and chose a much more casual wardrobe than we had expected of her.  Maybe she is living her life backwards!

"Heehee!  I see your bra! - Shut up, doofus.  It's called Fashion, duh!"

Alexandra played Happy Birthday on a Tootie Trumpet.  Apparently its an Aborsiminal celebration instrument, or something.  Sounded a bit like a Llama blowing its nose.  But her family are decendants of the first Aborsiminals (or something) and every member is taught to play the Tootie.

"I get cheesecake and now they produce the real cake!"

Adulthood suits Easter very well.  As I say she has been older than her years for a long time and she was now free to try all those interactions that had, until now, just never appeared for her.  I just hope she plays it safe and doesn't over use them, Sims get really bored by that!  She seemed, at first, a little confused by her transformation.  As if she didn't know what to do, she just stood and swayed a little, even though she had been asked several times to call her guests for cake.  We waitied patiently, this is her birthday after all, and she soon snapped out of it and off she went.

"Alone.  By the bin.  And.  No cake."
Summer had relented and allowed Troy to come to the party.  She figured that if Easter was going to have any kind of relationship with him then she need to get to know this guy.  It took her a while to spot him and when she did, we realised why.  I have to hand it to Summer, she kept her cool.  It seemed that Troy had aged up since his last meeting.  So that, coupled with the strange glowing thing he has going on....

Summer asked Easter about both and she just rolled her eyes and added a "muuuuhhhmm" for good measure.

"This guy is, ermmmm, on..what?  Fire?  Or something?"
Easter knew exactly how she was going to celebrate her knew found interactions.

And with whom.

"Seriously.  Save me.  Please!"

Chapter 37 - The Right Thing to Do

"Ahh, people we hardly knew ye!"

As you may remember Summer got into the habit of stealing gravestones and we ended up with people on our property that we really didn't know.  As the world has a ghost problem at the moment we realised that there was no way we could have ghosts of people we didn't even know wandering around.  So Carson, in a rather sensible and, surprisingly, level headed move decided to release the ghosts into the afterlife which meant we could, without too much guilt, place the gravestones into storage.  As we seem to not be able to get rid of them any other way!

"Bye"

"Bye"

Also, as you may recall, Tobias is having a hard time being old.  It appears that with his ageing has come a new confidence.  A confidence that has seen him laying it on thick with every woman that he meets.  Young and old.

After his disaster in the bedroom with his last lady love he decided that finding himself a younger more 'hardy' mate would be in his best interests.  And it so happened that a friend of Carson's happened to by on one of his more 'awake' days.  (It's true us oldies sleep a LOT!)

"You are all old and stuff!"
At first she seemed a little less than impressed by the 'old guy' being 'weird' but Tobias has a way with the ladies and very soon this bizarrely mis-matched couple are hanging out more and really enjoying each other's company.  It appears that we have discovered where Easter is getting her 'age doesn't matter' vibe from.

"Tobias, we have to talk!  Your sink...it's gross! Oh and I'm pregnant. Ta Daa!! *Jazz Hands*"
Well, Tobias quickly finds out however that with a younger lady it's all fun and games until someone gets pregnant.  At first Tobias couldn't believe that it was his, he is, as he put it, 'a dusty old relic'.  And I will be honest, he behaved shamefully.  He piled on the 'I'm too old' and the 'this isn't right for me'.  He kicked the poor girl out of the house and didn't call her for days.

"Are you saying you got pregnant as revenge for my dirty sink?"

A few days in our highly speeded up world can change lives, however, and before long Tobias received the call.  Lillian had given birth to a beautiful baby girl, Katrina.  Strangely, when I spoke to him later the only thing that concerned him about the whole 'fatherhood' thing was he worried about the kid being teased, like Katrina the Latrine-a.  I told him he was showing his age and did he really think that any kids out there even knew what a latrine was?  He said no, probably not.

"A baby you say?  No...no I was expecting it would be."
Lillian told him that the baby had been given her name and she was stuck with it, it just sort of happened at the hospital.  And had he seen that machine for getting the baby out!

The few days had given Tobias the time to calm down (and listen to a few stern words from me!) and he was more accepting of his role in this and said he would step up to the plate.  In fact what he actually said was  "I guess if you do the dirty you gotta change a few steamers!"

"Speak up...I'm old.  And wearing a hood.  And  baseball cap.  And...chains!?  What. Am. I DOING!?"
Tobias knew what he had to do.  But before he could explain himself to Lillian, someone stole his phone.

"*yoink*"
He took a few of his masterpieces down to the auctions.  They fetched a good amount.

We will miss him.

Chapter 36 - When The Timing's Wrong

"It's only a party once death shows up!"
Easter, being a teen, wants to party.  Party ALL of the time.  She has a Party Animal trait or something!  She even takes what she calls Disco Naps.  I have absolutely no idea what one is and although part of me is curious I think I would rather remain in the dark about it!  But, being a teen, and a rather awkward one at that, we feel it is better if she is chaperoned.  Luckily Carson is not much older than her and she can stand to be seen with him, especially if Alexandra goes along too.

"Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun... FEEL THE BASS!!! Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun"

Easter is not really the typical teen.  She chooses to wear suits and is more worried about her career and her relationship future than she is about school work.  Don't get me wrong, she busts a gut trying to get ahead in her job but it is to the detriment of her school work.  She doesn't relate to those her own age and was always happier hanging around us adults rather than the other kids in the house.  So it is no surprise that as soon as she reaches Club Headbanger she is chatting away to practically the only adult in the place.  She seems to attract them, or at least she seems to repel the teens!

"This party is BOSS!!!"
On one particular night Alexandra and Carson were less than attentive and Easter got chatting to a rather nice gentleman called Troy.  There was something, other worldly about him.  But she seemed to really like him.  Summer had some words for Carson when she found out.  Although her argument kind of petered out when she asked the rhetorical question

"You were suppose to be looking after her! She's a teenager!  He's an adult! Are you some kind of idiot!?"

"You've got some, err, moves there, pal!"

Alexandra and Carson returned to find them shaking their thing on the non existent dance floor.  I really don't know why people head to Club Headbanger, it advertises itself as a nightclub and there is no dance floor, no DJ and only a dire little speaker which is blocked by an old, out of tune piano!

Carson tried to be the responsible one and kept a close eye on Troy's every move.  But apparently Troy had a way about him that got to my Carson's brain because his conversation with Alexandra took a serious turn.  Well, as serious as Carson can ever be.

"My love for you is like a hanky, useful, soft and umm... in my....pocket?"
"Alex, let us dance the dance of love"
"I didn't have any pockets so I'll just get this out of...."
"Ta Daaaaa!"
"I had to eat three whole boxes of cereal and pay P&P.  But you were worth it!"

So it appears that my ditzy son has snagged himself a fiance.  I do hope she realises what she is getting herself into!

Easter on the other hand has, apparently, chosen her husband (tch! teenagers).  I don't think he knows yet, and we are hoping that he'll have 'gone home' by the time she comes of age and can do something about it!

"Me and my glowing friend, Troy"
